Licenses

All templates follow the official Webflow Template License. This page is only a summary to help you understand the main points of the license created by Webflow.

What you can do

  • You can fully customize the template — edit text, images, and layout — and use it to create one final website (the “End Product”).

  • You can transfer that finished website to your client for any fee.

What you can’t do

  • You can’t resell, redistribute, or share the template (even if modified).

  • You can’t use parts of the template (like components or sections) in multiple projects or products.

  • Your client also can’t resell or reuse the template for other projects.

Free templates

You can use, edit, and customize free templates for unlimited personal or commercial projects, including client work. However, you can’t resell, redistribute, or share the template (as-is or modified) on any marketplace or platform. The template creator keeps ownership of the design and grants you this license under Webflow’s terms.

Transferring and duplicating

When you transfer a paid template to another person or client, your license transfers with it. Each new use requires purchasing a new license, and duplicating a paid template for multiple projects isn’t allowed.
